In its ongoing mission to serve the underserved, AlHassan Welfare Foundation organized a Free Eye Camp under the banner of “AlHassan Eye Camp” — a humanitarian initiative focused on restoring the gift of sight to those who cannot afford basic eye care.
This one-day medical outreach brought together a team of qualified and experienced eye specialists who volunteered their expertise to serve the community. Held in a local area with high need, the camp offered completely free eye check-ups, vision testing, and consultations for men, women, and elderly patients from all walks of life.
Services provided at the camp included:
Free eyesight tests and vision screening
Diagnosis of common eye diseases (cataract, infection, etc.)
Distribution of free reading glasses for weak eyesight
Medical advice and referrals for further treatment
Awareness on eye care and hygiene practices
Hundreds of people benefitted from the initiative, many of whom were seeing a doctor for the first time in years. For some, the provision of a simple pair of glasses brought immediate clarity and hope.
AlHassan Eye Camp was not just a medical service — it was a gesture of dignity, care, and accessibility for the most neglected. This project reflects the foundation’s core values: compassion, action, and equity.
Encouraged by its success, the foundation aims to hold more such camps in rural and underserved areas, ensuring that no one’s vision is compromised due to poverty or inaccessibility.
